India Women vs South Africa Women 4th ODI: the match turns 3-1 lead in the five-match series. South Africa Women beat Indian women by seven wickets. The final clash is on Wednesday.

South Africa Women batting helped them tumble India in the fourth encounter of the ongoing five-match ODI series. The ground for these matches is Lucknow. The Laura Wolvaardt-led South African unit wrapped up the stiff 267-run chase with eight balls to spare. Similarly, South Africa Women won the contest by seven wickets.

The match turned into a 3-1 lead in the five-match series. While the final match is on Wednesday. It was the highest success on the part of South Africa in ODIs.

The proceedings began with South Africa winning the toss. Then, South Africa invited the hosts to bat first. Jemimah Rodrigues, , was not picked in the playing XI. While veteran seamer Jhulan Goswami was also invisible in the fielding

However, in-form batswoman Punam Raut continued her fantastic bating to score 104. Similarly, Harmanpreet Kaur smashed a blazing half-century as the Indian women’s team posted a challenging 266/4 in 50 overs.

Punam, who notched up half-centuries in the previous two outings. She compiled a 123-ball 104 to bring up her third century in the format. Harmanpreet scored 54 off 35 balls, hitting seven fours and a six.  Similarly, Mithali Raj scored 45 off 71 balls. She became the first player to complete 70000 runs in women’s OIDs.

The most successful bowler was, Tumi Sekhukhune (2/63), for South Africa. While Shabnim Ismail (1/50), Nondumiso Shangase (1/41) picked a wicket each.

The opening pair of Lizelle Lee and South Africa skipper Wolvaardt scored  116 for the opening wicket. This was a good response to India, 266. Lee was out LBW, she was the first batswoman to depart by Harmanpreet on 69 off 74 balls in the 23rd over.

Then, seamer Mansi Joshi came to the ground for batting. She provided the hosts with another breakthrough in the form of Wolvaardt, who departed after scoring a fine half-century.

Following that, the new pair of Lara Goodall and Mignon du Preez scored 103 runs for the third wicket. The third wicket for India was by dismissing Du Preez on 61. The wicket was picked up by Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

Goodall along with Marizanne Kapp remained unbeaten on 59 from 66 balls, while Kapp fetched 22 from 18 balls.  Similarly, South Africa Women vs India Women match became a hot topic for the news.
